Programme
Proposed program: Summer Olympics integrated Social Engagement Programming, Rollerscating and Skateboard performances and classes, Dining Experiences, Rooftop Local Markets, Presentations and discussions on relevant subject matters such as Circular Economy and Sustainability.
World of Os. has developed the strategic concept, has curated and produced the former Entreposto rooftop. The cultural intervention for IDB Lisbon was conceptualised with the purpose to activate the brand and the real estate. The concept encompasses a food truck run by the emerging chef Dede, a shading structure, skateboard ramps as well as cultural interventions with purpose, created by local artists Crack kids and Los Pepes.
One of the main ideas for the project was to create a running track of artistic nature, and as part of the program activations such as “summer olympics” where kids and grownups can participate and enjoy. Sports has always been an element that connected people, those who participate as well as those that watch and encourage.
The project was developed following the Marina Ostrowski Method – MOM for real estate development, taking into consideration the city/neighbourhood context, social impact, sustainable development, shared economy, design and more. Parts of the furniture was produced by a local craftsman from central Portugal, some furniture and decoration was acquired from charitable organisations giving back to the people in need. We recycled and up cycled many old furniture pieces and repurposed them. We engaged locals as well as foreigners in the production process. For the opening event we have suggested to present skateboard performances, and roller-skaters, local musicians and chef Dede created some of his signature dishes.
